Tip of the Month –
Talk to your Web Professional Before …
Do you know the best time to talk to a web professional about
your website? Before you do anything! Take the time to talk to a web
professional before you purchase your domain name, before you purchase your
hosting service, before you do about anything – but plan your site. We
can help save you money, time and headaches if you talk to us in time. The bargain
hosting plan may not provide the support, speed, storage and capabilities that
your site will need. We can advise you on choosing the best domain name and
the best place to register the name.
And we can help you brainstorm what you want the website to
do for you. Use our experience to help
design and build a site that will perform for you. Consider any expense as an
investment in a better website for your business and organization. Contact me
for more information.
Spotlight of the Month
Florida Vintage Motocross
– As the
Florida Vintage Motocross series prepares for a new season, I feature the
site for the series this time. While not flashy, trendy, etc. the site loads
fast, provides timely info for the vintage mx
visitors and gets a large amount of web traffic every month. The Classified
page gets over 20K visits a month. On average, people can sell their vintage
bikes or find what they are looking for very quickly with all the focused traffic
the site gets.
The sponsors that help support the series also get a
noticeable amount of leads with the links from the site to their website. The site gets good listings in Google, Yahoo, and Bing. The site provides the schedule for upcoming events (with directions to the locations), photos, results, a message board, and a page to purchase FLVMX merchandise. Visit flvmx.com and see for yourself.
Langiape
(a little something extra)
In the last day or two I have received enquiries about a suspicious email claiming to be from the IRS. The subject will be something about Unreported/Underreported Income (Fraud Application). This is a phishing scheme and the main thing to know is - do not click on the link contained in the email. It will take you to a website that will download malicious software to your computer. You can just delete the email safely and you will not have any problems. If you have any questions or problems, contact me.
