Stick Elliott

UPDATE: Stick Elliott has been inducted into the 2009 Class of the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be held as always at Florence Speedway in Kentucky in August. He joins his rival Ralph Earnhardt in the HOF. Earnhardt was inducted in 07.

Stick Elliott was called a dirty driver by many of the dirt track fans. He didn't seem to mind giving you a little nudge to move you over and pass you. Stick ran a limited number of Grand National (now Winston Cup) races in the 60s. But most of his racing was done on the dirt tracks of the Carolinas.

Here is a model of the same car pictured above. The fine replica is by Jackie Sims.
Another one of Stick's cars modeled by Jackie Sims. This was from the late 70s. The car was sponsered by Charlotte NC TV station WBTV.
And one more of Stick's cars modeled by Jackie Sims. This Camaro was probably ran in the late 70s and early 80s. As evidenced by the larger spoiler on the rear.
