Red Irvin

Boyce Wayne "Red" Irvin was very competitive in 55, 56 and 57 winning two Charlotte fairgrounds championships and a national modified title. Here he is pictured with his 39 Ford at the original Concord Speedway. The picture was taken between 1955 and 1957. The car raced as a modified which was the fastest and most popular division at the time.
